Maintenance

The Maintenance/Operations & Grounds Department within the Valparaiso Community Schools District is here to serve, first and foremost, the efforts to enhance student learning. This is done in partnership with staff, students and the community.  Our goal is to fulfill our mission to maintain our school properties in a manner that supports academic success, safety, comfort to the users, and community pride in appearance.

The Valparaiso Community School District owns 152 acres, which contains eight elementary schools, two middle schools, one high school, alternative school, career center, transportation/service center and administration building. Together, there is approximately 2,000,000 square feet of building space.  The district has an enrollment of over 6,000 students.
