Enrolling a New Student
  1. Contact the staff at the Administration Building to determine the school to which your child will be assigned.
  2. Contact the secretary at your child’s new school to enroll your child.  Bus route information and a school tour can provided at that time.
  3. Visit the new school and bring the following documents:
    • child’s birth certificate
    • verification of immunizations
    • proof of residency
    • legal custody papers (if applicable)
    • unofficial transcript or home-based report card
    • name and address of previous school
  4. After your child is properly enrolled, the school will contact the previous school to request copies of official records and standard test results.
Children shall be eligible for kindergarten provided they are five years old on or before August 1st of the year of enrollment. Registration is held during Kindergarten Roundup, which takes place at each elementary school in April. Parents need to provide a state birth certificate, verification of immunizations, four documents to prove residency and custody papers (if applicable).
In compliance with the state of Indiana regulations, all new students must present verification of immunizations before beginning school.
