Welcome to the Media Center and the Wide World of Information

Availability

The Media Center is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. On Wednesdays (due to late start), the Media Center is open from 7:50 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  Students may check out material with a valid student ID.  Food, drinks, coats, and book bags are not allowed in the Media Center.   

Loan Periods

Regular books may be checked out for two weeks and renewed for an additional two weeks.  Reference books, video tapes, video cameras, digital cameras, and laptop computers may be checked out overnight only and are due back by the first period of the following day. 

Overdue Policy

Overdue books accrue a 10 cent fine per book per school day.  Reference books accrue a $1.00 per day fine.  Overdue electronic equipment and resources accrue a $1.00 per day fine.  Students with overdue fines will be notified on a monthly basis.  

Equipment and Video Distribution

Faculty, staff, and students must schedule equipment and video distribution checkout at least one day in advance.  Scheduling forms are available in the Media Center workroom.   

Student Passes

All students--whether coming from class, study hall, a student aide assignment, or lunch--must possess a student pass issued by an academic teacher as well as their student ID in order to use the Media Center.  Students must sign in and present their ID to the Media Center Research Advisor on duty.  Student passes are not required before and after school. 

Student Copier

A copier is available for student use at 10 cents per page and will provide change.
