I attended Indiana University, where I received a B.S. degree in Early Childhood Education. I completed my M.S. degree in Elementary Education through Indiana University Northwest, and obtained my Administrative license from Indiana State University. I am married and have four boys, one attends Central Elementary, one attends BFMS, and the two oldest attend VHS. My husband, Mike, is the Principal at Merrillville High School. In my spare time I enjoy playing with my sons, exercising, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
My name is Mrs. Elizabeth Krutz and I am extremely proud to be the principal of Central Elementary. In my 23 years as an educator, I have taught Kindergarten through 2nd grade, served as an Assistant Principal at Pierce Middle School in Merrillville, and this is my eighth year at Central.
My role as an administrator is to meet the needs of the students, the staff, and the community. People have different needs and I try to meet those needs with resources, support and guidance. I enjoy working with our school community as a partner in your child's education.
