For the 2015-16 School Year, Valparaiso Community Schools will be transitioning to a new student management system: Skyward.
As part of a thorough data crosscheck, we will be verifying residency for ALL students attending Valparaiso Community Schools during the registration process.
At registration for all returning students, proof of residency (see below) will be required.
The following items will be needed to enroll your child:
Proof of Residency (Four documents are required)
Mortgage papers or tax receipt, driver’s license, utility bill, and water bill
Lease Home or Apartment:
Lease agreement, driver’s license, mail (bill mailed to the home), utility bill or pay stub with current address
Also if your child is new to the district the following must be provided along with proof of residency:
Copy of Child’s Official Birth Certificate
Copy of Child’s Current Immunization Record
For families with students in multiple schools, residency documents need only be provided to one school during registration. After providing residency documents, parents/guardians will receive login information for their Skyward Family Access account. Once Family Access account information has been given to a family, the on-line registration process may be completed on-site at the school or at home. All registration forms in the on-line registration must be completed by the end of the registration period.
Children must be five years old on or before August 1, 2015
to be eligible for the fall kindergarten class.
