VCS decided to make this a traditional Snow Day considering several factors:
- We believe in-person learning is the most valuable learning experience for our students.
- A weather event like the one forecasted is often associated with power and internet loss. Should VCS families or staff experience an outage, the added stress of eLearning is not healthy or helpful for any of our school community.
- Our school calendar includes makeup days planned for these weather situations.
- Finally, we believe there is still ‘magic’ in one of the miracles of childhood…The Snow Day. We hope our students will prioritize safety while also taking this opportunity to help their family and neighbors dig out, as well as enjoy some fun in the snow.
