Welcome to Wealthy, Healthy and Wise (WHW) Employee Wellness Program! Valparaiso Community Schools offer all paid employees, their spouses and retirees that participated in the program before retiring, the opportunity to participate in the Wellness Program. The program offers ongoing support to staff to pursue optimal occupational, intellectual, spritual, physical, emotional, social and environmental health. Participation is a great way for staff to maintain or enhance your well-being, as well, as be role models for student wellness.

All paid VCS staff, their spouses, and VCS retirees that participated in the program prior to retiring are eligible to participate in the Wellness Program. The cost is $10 per participant for the school year. The registration fee is non-refundable.

The program runs from September 1st through April 30th each year. You are eligible to receive credit for activities from September 1st or from the date you join the program, but no sooner than September 1st. Therefore, you can join anytime during the year. However, to get the most credit for the year, the sooner you start the better!

After registering to participate, all participants will receive a Wellthy, Healthy & Wise Wellness Participant Guide with details about the program. The guide will also include all forms necessary for logging your activity with check marks.

Beside making lifestyle changes and improving your health, you can receive prizes for your participation in a few ways:
1) Earn "incentive prizes" at the end of the school year for the monthly activities you do and the
cumulative check marks that you earn.
2) Participate in monthly Worksite Wellness programs and be eligible for various prize drawings.
3) Earn check marks for your activities, attend the Wellness Year-end Party and be eligible for a
variety of prizes drawings.
