Elementary Summer School

Dear Elementary Parents and Guardians,

 

Valparaiso Community Schools will be offering two sessions of Elementary Summer School this year. All elementary summer school classes will be held at Thomas Jefferson Elementary. Parents may choose which session they would like their child to attend.

 

 

VCS has made recommendations to parents for students who we believe need an opportunity to bridge the 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 school year. Additionally, parents may elect to register their student for summer school should they believe an opportunity to bridge this year and next is essential for their child. Parents electing to register their child for summer school may do so by the registration deadline of April 12, 2024. Begin registration HERE.

 

2023-2024 Elementary Summer School will provide targeted and differentiated instruction to meet students’ needs. In addition, VCS will have a licensed mental health counselor present during both sessions to provide services for students.

Summer school will be in-person and only at Thomas Jefferson Elementary. Classes will be in session from 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM each day. Students will have the opportunity to eat breakfast with the school doors opening at 7:45 AM.  Procedural information will be sent to parents who register at a later date.
