VCS update regarding wearing masks on Buses

Effective immediately and per new information from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), VCS will no longer require any student or staff member to wear a mask on VCS-operated buses or vans.

Message from VCS Superintendent regarding Mask Policy

Dr. Jim McCall, VCS Superintendent, sent a message to all students, families, teachers, and staff on Friday, February 11, 2022 regarding changes to the VCS Mask Policy, effective February 14, 2022. You can read the full message here.

VCS Classes canceled Thursday, February 3, 2022

Due to continued Winter Weather and hazardous travel conditions, Valparaiso Community Schools will be closed Thursday, February 3, 2022. This will again be a traditional ‘Snow Day’ with no eLearning.

MONITORING: Continued Winter Storm Warning

We are closely monitoring forecasts while also in communication with county and local street departments to evaluate travel conditions for Thurs, Feb 3. If a school delay or cancellation is needed, notices will be sent so everyone affected can make arrangements.

A make up day will be announced at a later date.
