VCS Superintendent Dr. Jim McCall and the VCS Board recognized the State Champion VHS Gymnastics Team as well as five VHS students named 2023 National Merit Finalists at the recent VCS Board Meeting.

We have closely monitored the weather event that is forecasted this afternoon. Based on the analysis and in the interest of student and staff safety, VCS will conduct an early dismissal at 12:35p (VHS), 1:00p (BFMS/TJMS), and 1:30p (Elementary Schools) on Fri, March 3, 2023.

Entitled the ‘VHS Military Hall of Honor,’ the ~40 feet long by ~12 feet tall indoor display will feature each of the branches of the US Armed Forces along with the names and class year of VHS graduates who served in the military.

Dr. Jim McCall, along with the VCS Board, recognized Valparaiso High School's 5A State Championship Football team along with coach and player awards at the December 15 Board Meeting.

At the Porter County Education Services (PCES) Board meeting on December 6, Porter County area superintendents voted to restructure services to students who benefit from special education programming.

Megan Becker was named an Indiana state finalist for the Presidential Award for Excellence in Math and Science Education
